A taste of life with a professional taiko company, including:

Dedicated workshops focused purely on Shidara's style of drumming, flute, or dance
Freedom to observe and participate in training with Shidara members
Time shared with Shidara members at their facility deep in the forest mountains
Outings and visits to Shidara's local favorite places:

A 40-foot waterfall nestled in the forest
Toei Onsen – indoor/outdoor natural hot springs “onsen”
Mt. Myoujin- the mountain that inspired the song “Myoujin yama”
The river whirlpool which inspired the song “Niebuchi”

In the small mountain town of Toei, in Japan's Aichi prefecture

Anyone with taiko experience can submit an application

Residencies take place regularly
